New Delhi: A review meeting with the Minister of Livestock and Dairy Production of the State of Gujarat was held today under the chairmanship of the Minister of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy of The union. The meeting was attended by Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Minister of State (FAHD), Dr L. Murugan, Minister of State, Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy, Minister of Livestock and Gujarat State Dairy, General Manager (Amul Dairy) and other central and state government officials.
During the meeting, the Union Minister reviewed the implementation of livestock and dairy production programs in the state and also provided an update on the livestock and milk production proposals. . He also discussed future action plans for the implementation of programs in the state.
The Union Minister stressed that the operation of mobile veterinary units (MVUs) in the state should start immediately to provide animal health services at the doorstep of farmers. Pashu Sakhis must be trained as an artificial insemination (AI) technician to administer AI. He also headed the state government. to make the most of the entrepreneurship program as part of the national livestock mission.
The Union Minister advised the Minister of State to speed up the disbursement of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to pastoralists in a campaign mode in coordination with the central government. He also stressed that quality testing equipment should be installed in all dairy cooperatives in the state to ensure the delivery of quality milk to all consumers in the state.
The Director General of Amul Dairy thanked the Indian government for implementing the Support Program for Dairy Cooperatives and Agricultural Producers’ Organizations Engaged in Dairy Activities (SDCFPO) which helps dairy cooperatives and agricultural producer organizations. by providing an interest subsidy on the working capital loan and the loan in the form of capital labor required of dairy cooperatives and agricultural producer organizations.
In addition, the Union Minister commended the state government for its excellent contribution in the dairy sector and advised that for future growth of the sector, the state government and Amul Dairy should prepare a plan aggressive action in coordination with the Union government.
