Taki urges center for entrepreneurship development in livestock and fisheries sectors
ITANAGAR, April 20: The Minister of Livestock, Veterinary and Dairy Development, Tage Taki urged the center for the promotion and development of entrepreneurship in the livestock and fisheries sectors in Arunachal.
Highlighting major issues affecting the growth of these two sectors in the state during a meeting convened by the union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy in Kevadia, Narmada district of Gujarat, On Tuesday, Taki said there was a need to tighten caps on several central government-sponsored entrepreneurship programs.
He also urged the ministry to encourage the conservation and propagation of the states’ unique genetic resources, increase funding for some centrally run programs and launch more bankable programs to support more and more aspiring farmers. .
Livestock, Dairy and Fisheries Minister Parshottam Rupala welcomed the ideas and opinions expressed by Taki.
The meeting was convened to discuss key issues relating to the increase of the livestock, dairy and fisheries sector in the country to help create a convergence framework for effective implementation of the program at ground level.
During the meeting, relevant department ministers from all states presented their ideas, views and concerns governing the growth of these two sectors. They discussed various issues and concerns that require focused attention and efforts for the growth of these two sectors.
The meeting was attended by MoS for Livestock and Dairy Dr SK Baliyan, MoS for Fisheries Dr L Murugnan, Secretary of Livestock and Dairy Atul Chaturvedi, Secretary of Fisheries JN Swain and Ministers and Department Secretaries of all States.
