Some of the cattle perish under mysterious circumstances in Poonch –

pouch: Nearly thirty sheep and goats died even as many others were reportedly found ill in mysterious circumstances at Pamrote of Surannote in Poonch district on Monday.

Information received by GNS said that the owner of the cattle, Mohammad Rashid, son of Ghaiya, a resident of Pamrote, Surakote, placed the cattle in the residence of former Sarpanch Fida Hussain, son of Nazir Hussain Shah in Pamrote, Dhara.

On notice, a police team accompanied by Naib-tehsildar Surannote went to the scene to take stock of the incident.

An official told the GNS that a sheep and animal husbandry team has been asked to send in doctors to see the outbreak of any possible disease – resulting in the death of animals.

Confirming the incident, SHO Surakote Niaz Ahmad told GNS that the relevant department has been notified to investigate the cause of the animals’ death. (GNS)
