Parshottam Rupala chairs national level consultation with ministers of livestock and veterinarians
Union Minister for Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy (FAHD), Shri Parshottam Rupala, today held a nationwide consultation with state and UT livestock / veterinary ministers via the virtual mode to highlight the special package for the livestock sector and also launched the national livestock mission portal. (NLM). The meeting was graced by Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Minister of State, FAHD and Dr L. Murugan, Minister of State, FAHD Ministry and other dignitaries. Addressing the ministers, Shri Parshottam Rupala highlighted the special package for the livestock sector to all ministers of state which was recently announced by the Indian government for the next 5 years with an expenditure of Rs. 9800 crores optimizing the total investment of Rs. 54,618 crores. The Minister briefed all state ministers of livestock and veterinarians on the various changes made under the Indian government programs in this regard, their implications and the role of states in implementing the revised programs. and realigned the department. Speaking at the meeting, Councilor Bhatnagar presented the brief report of the J&K government and discussed issues related to Animal Husbandry, Sheep and Fisheries Departments (ASH & F) to the Union Minister . The adviser informed the Minister that this sector is one of the priority sectors of the UT government and that efforts are being made to effectively implement central government programs. During the meeting, Success Stories of Livestock Farmers were also presented to all participating ministers.
