Muston Vineyard in Piddle Valley, Dorset for sale

An established vineyard in Dorset has come to market.

Muston Vineyard covers approximately 44 acres, with 30 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines that are in their sixth year and reaching full maturity.

A small harvest has been taken in the past two years producing a fine English sparkling wine.

The Piddle Valley Vineyard also benefits from planning permission for a 10,000 square foot agricultural building, which was granted in August 2020.

Next to the vineyard is a pasture area, which was previously used for cattle grazing, sheltered by a small mature wooded area.

Matilda Stent of the Savills Southern Agricultural Agency team said: “Nestled on a south-east slope in the Piddle Valley, Muston Vineyard offers a very rare opportunity to purchase an established vineyard in the heart of rural Dorset.

“The vineyard is close to the tourist hotspots of the West Dorset Heritage Coastline and the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and could lend itself to a wine tourism venture, subject to planning.”

Muston Vineyard is one mile from the village of Piddlehinton and 5 miles from the county town of Dorchester.

The vineyard is on the market with Savills with a guide price of over £1.2million.
