KISHTWAR: Department of Livestock Kishtwar celebrated World Veterinary Day 2022 today here at the Main Livestock Office with the theme “Building Veterinary Resilience”.

The event was chaired by the Breeding Manager, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen.

The program began with the welcome of all the dignitaries, participants, ex. Veterinarians and para-veterinarians.

The vet took a pledge administered by Dr. SM Usman to serve the country.

Speaking on this occasion, the CAHO underlined the importance of this day. He congratulated the ex. veterinarians and para-veterinarians for their immense contribution in the veterinary field. He also urged the staff members to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the betterment of this profession. He added that vets are the best doctors in the world because they treat God’s voiceless creations.

Several former para-veterinarians shared their points of view and gave their suggestions to revitalize the livestock sector.

Abdul Majeed Bichoo (SO) spoke about reviving yak herding and livestock insurance.

Meanwhile, Jagdish Raj Sen Ex AVO also shared his view and said that young generation vets and para-vets are the future of this country and must play a very important role in reviving the economy of poor farmers.

Concluding the programme, CAHO Kishtwar said that the role of veterinarians is immense for the development of society.
