The Pecan Plantation Art Guild is a group of talented neighbors, one of which was recognized this month.

Barbara Doberenz’s work is currently featured on PPAG’s “Artist on the Wall” exhibition at clubhouse Pecan. Barbara works in acrylics and watercolors and says she enjoys “letting the paint do its work before it does” by “letting it travel and blend into a final piece that reflects movement and rhythm”.

Barbara states that she bases her paintings on photos she has taken both in her community and during her travels and that she gravitates towards the challenge of realism and figurative abstract art. Barbara’s pieces can also be viewed on the PPAG online gallery accessible at www.pecanplantationartguild.com.
