DA supports Livestock Expo PH

THE Ministry of Agriculture (DA) has shown its support as livestock professionals, business owners, policy makers and other stakeholders across the country are set to come together for the promotion and l advancement of the industry at the 2022 Philippines Livestock Expo at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 24-26.

The event will be a melting pot of cutting-edge technologies and solutions available worldwide, technical conferences and seminars, and networking with other players in the country’s livestock industry.

The DA Livestock Group is among the roster of more than 200 exhibitors who will showcase their services, technologies and other innovations to approximately 10,000 attendees from all walks of the livestock industry.

Its corporate stand highlights the mandate of the Department of Agriculture’s livestock offices – namely the National Livestock Programme, Bureau of Animal Industry, National Dairy Authority, National Service Meat Inspection and the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) – to provide quality service to and increase opportunities for ranchers, organizations and businesses nationwide.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) also joins the DA’s corporate stand as a capacity building agency; the International Pig Training Center, the only specialized pig training center in Asia and the Pacific region under the DA-ATI; the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries as a participatory hub of the AD; and the Agricultural Credit Policy Council, Development Bank of the Philippines and Land Bank of the Philippines as public financial institutions providing credit support to pastoralists and farmers’ organizations.
