The government of Arunachal Pradesh is striving to empower farmers by building strong infrastructure for animal husbandry and dairy development.
Thanks to his tireless efforts, residents of Pasighat, Roing, Namsai and Tezu now have access to four veterinary facilities.
As part of the “National Livestock Mission”, a sustainable and environmentally friendly pig farm has also been established in Berung (Pasighat), Roing & Jomlo (Siang).
According to an official bulletin issued by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, an eco-friendly and sustainable sheep farm has been established in Sangti, while the Poultry Breeding Center and Poultry Hatchery Unit have been set up. were created in Nirjuli.
Animal husbandry and selective breeding promote sustainable development and contribute to generating livelihoods, increasing farmers’ incomes and increasing nutritional values.

On the other hand, a well-equipped “Arun Dairy Factory” and environment-friendly dairy farm have been set up in Karsingsa and Lemberdung in Tawang, while “Namsai Fresh” Dairy Unit has been set up in Namsai District. .
According to sources, the state administration is currently focusing mainly on animal husbandry and selective breeding, promoting sustainable growth and helping to generate better livelihoods for farmers.
These state government initiatives have helped increase farmers’ incomes and increased nutritional values and also set an example through sustainable farming methods.
